Brown dwarf Cha Hα 1 has a hydrocarbon-rich disk, Webb finds

Using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), astronomers have observed a young brown dwarf known as Cha Hα 1. As a result, they found that the disk around this brown dwarf is hydrocarbon-rich. The finding was detailed in a paper published August 7 on the pre-print server arXiv.
